Once you have more grenade enhancing gear (aka, UIR armor) killing 2 or 3 people with a grenade then zooming over to Double Shot some asshole on the other side of the map becomes hilariously common place. Plus, the ability to crank out AOE damage on demand meshes wonderfully with the Blood Rush ability since that gives increased movement speed per kill. It really kind of snowballs because having at least one grenade on a short cooldown lets you freely bust out explosives with your other 3 squaddies and never really get seriously punished for having explosives unavailable. Proximity mines are the best way to deal with emergence holes and a combo of Frag Grenade Mastery and rare UIR boots is enough to shave -4 off of your standard grenade cooldown. First off: Scouts are awesome and a dip into the explosives skills is nigh mandatory for that class.
